The new, larger, second jumping pillow is installed at Walters’ Pumpkin Patch. We were the first in the State of Kansas to have a jumping pillow, and now we’re first at having two pillows! We’ll have one pillow for our littlest visitors, and the larger one for our “rowdy” crew. No one will get jumped on or off the pillow when the big guys and gals start jumping. This is going to be better for everyone at our Kansas agritourism facility.
The train depot, made by Portable Livestock Systems of Seymour, Missouri, was delivered last week. The Amish employees used old barnwood and designed it after our sketch of the train depot at DeGraff, Kansas where cattle were shipped from Florence to El Dorado many years ago. And it is just as cute and precious as they said it was. We’ll use the DeGraff Depot for our barrel train rides. We’re giving everyone a train whistle to keep for riding our Walters’ Express Train.
And you ought to see Carroll’s new Corn Crib: up the steps to the first floor, climb the ladder to the second floor and down the tube slide out to the ditch three floors down! Carroll out did himself on this creation. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as we have already!
I almost forgot! Our corn maze celebrates Kansas’s 150th birthday with the Happy 150th Kansas cut into the maze with the shape of the State and sunflowers in the design. Come walk our maze for yourself!
Until we open our Kansas pumpkin patch September 17th, we’re down in the patch!
