Employee Orientation Today at Walters’ Pumpkin Patch
Today is our employee orientation, so we can show our new employees what we do and what we would like for them to do while they are working here at the Walters’ Pumpkin Patch. Our facility is close to the Wichita market and we are competing, so to speak, with those Wichita pumpkin patches and other entertainment entities. We have to be the best, be different or be first to attract those customers and get them to drive 45 minutes to 1 hour to come play in our pumpkin patch! Walters’ Pumpkin Patch is one of Kansas’s largest and most unique pumpkin patches, but our employees all make the difference whether our visitors really have a great time.
I’m really excited about the employees we’ve hired for the 2010 season. It is going to be an awesome year with great employees who are smart enough to handle the goings-on of our pumpkin patch facility. The weather is going to be just perfect for enjoying a fall day in the Flinthills of Kansas. And the decorating of our grounds, the gift shops, and the baking is just going to put us all over the edge! Can you tell we’re getting excited too? Be sure to take a look at our events page on the www.walterspumpkinpathc.com site. Our Gourdeners (like a gardener, only gourds….) Day and the 34 mile Band, and Jeff Davission with his music and history of Kansas talk will be added this year for your entertainment. Oh, and did I mention all the great new attractions that Carroll has built this year? Can’t forget his talents and efforts in this crazy Kansas agritourism business! Until next time….we’re down in the patch!
